Registration as an employer
For payroll, if you are a new company and will be hiring employees, then you will need to register with:
- Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP or EPF) – Borang KWSP 1 (Maj)
- Pertubuhan Keselamatan Perkerja (PERKESO or SOCSO) – Borang Pendaftaran Majikan Perkeso
- Lembaga Hasil dalam Negeri – Registration can be done online here.
In addition, when you take on a new employee, you will be required to register the employee with the relevant organisations:
- LHDN Borang CP39 – monthly schedular tax deductions from employees by the 10th of the following month
- SOCSO Borang 8A – monthly SOCSO contributions – by the end of the following month
- EPF Borang A – monthly EPF contributions – by the 15th of the following month
The above will need to be submitted with the relevant payments.
Annual submissions
For income tax, an employer is also required to complete and submit Borang E no later than 31st March of each year.
This process would also involve preparing EA forms for your employees as well.
